Begin with the customer journey

People rarely move from first impression to decision in one step. They may discover a brand through a useful article, compare options through search, and return later through a campaign. Plan for those different moments rather than asking every channel to do the same job.

Define the audience, the problem being solved, and the next useful action before choosing formats or budgets.

Give channels complementary roles

Search can answer active questions, editorial content can build understanding, and paid campaigns can test reach or support a focused offer. A landing page should continue the promise made by its source, not restart the conversation.

Use a consistent message while adapting its depth and format to the context of each channel.

Review the whole system

Agree on a small set of outcomes and make sure tracking is reliable before comparing activity. Look for friction between steps, such as a campaign that attracts the right audience but sends them to a vague page. Improve the journey as a whole rather than optimizing isolated numbers.
